A toploader should bolt right up, you will need a shifter. Some of the early Bronco houses sell the shifter & there's always ebay. You can get close ratio which pulls better on the road or an overdrive that uses basically the same gearing plus an overdrive.

I think 70's v-8 bell for the 3 speed manual has the same bolt pattern as the t/c 4 speeds.
