'posi' diff question
I have a 4x2 with 3.50 8.8" diff. How can I/ what can I do to change it to a 'posi'? Can I swap the carrier with a posi and use my ring and pinion? This is for general use behind a rebuilt and slightly stepped up engine. (cam, intake, carb)

Since Positraction differentials are built by GM, it would be a whole lot easier to put in a Ford Trac-Lok. The carriers are interchangable and the ring and pinion are reusable. If you do re-use them, the setup job is much simpler since you won't need to re-shim the pinion to the crrect depth. You will still need to side shim the new carrier.
