Question shortbed

if anyone can help it would be much appreciated...i have a 78 f-150 short bed and to put it simple the bed would be better to be taken off and made into forks than it would be on my truck...but i aint real sure your could get a whole lot of forks out of it though....anyway i am in need of a bed anything from a 73-79 as long as it is a shortbed and somewhat restorable...iam having no luck with my search. it would be simpler for me to just go with a flatbed but i dont really like them. so if anyone could help out it would be much appreciated....thanks in advance

There was a fixable short bed at the KC U-wrenchit, but it may be crushed by now. The front was bowed (55 gal drum not secured?) and the right side fiberglss fender was cracked, but it all looked rebuildable when I glanced at it on the way through. They wanted around $175 with tail lights I believe. Have to move fast though, they tend to crush pretty quick. You could probably bargain because of the shape it was in. Good Luck.
