I installed the molded splash guards from Ford. I think they also have a flexible type which is more of a mud flap. Mine look good IMO and work great. I live on a dirt road and they keep the mud off of my step bars and fenders. The two types of molded guards are one for a truck with the wheel lip molding and one without. The lower hole in the rear guards is mis-located so you have to drill one in the guard to line up but that's no prob. I got em from fordpartsnetwork.com for 64.99. I'm happy with em. --Jack
Big Jack....Please post a picture or your ride with the flaps. I bought some aftermarket flaps and they're ugly so I looking for something better. Thanks
I installed the Ford moulded flaps. No drilling required. Everything lined up ok. They work well with my running boards. I love the rocker protection Ford put on too.
I installed the plastic molded ones from Ford...had to drill a hole on each of the back ones because the mold was wrong. I didn't think it was a big deal. I love the way they look on my truck.
I had the Ford molded flaps installed, and I'll see what they look like when I pick up the truck today. The dealer said that although they fit tight against the wheel well in front, they stick straight down below the truck because they rub against the running board. Has anyone noticed this problem? I haven't seen it mentioned in this forum.
I'm not sure if this model has the Ford emblem on it. I'll post again this evening after I pick the truck up.
I just installed mine today. Couldnt get the plugs in the bottom holes but they seem to hold just fine without them. If they get to vibrating around I will drill and put the plugs in.
