STX 4x4 tires

Hello: I am having a 04 f150 STX supercab 4x4 shipped from an out of state dealer to my local dealer. After picking this truck out I realized last night that I didn't ask what kind (brand) are on them. Does any one know? Are they a decent tire? I think they may be General Ameritrac TR but I am not sure...all I know is they are p255/70R17 all terrain OWL. Thanks for the help.

I don't know which model but mine has General brand. We have had ice to 3 inches of snow (I know not much) but they did well in all conditions, with the limited slip I only used 4x4 once and that was because I was starting out on an incline.

Well I found out that they are the General Ameritrac tires. I don't know anything about them....but have seen a couple of reviews that knocked them pretty badly. Has anyone heard of this? One of the reviews also stated that Ford has a service advisory out on these. Is this true? Any help would be great. Thanks.

So Sorry

General/Continental Tires.........................Well they suck, had them on a Frontier they were replaced twice due to bad vibrations and ****ty ride, even worse customer service from manufacturer. Unfortinitly My new 150 has Contintals on it....No worry's they will be gone soon, less than 300 miles on them... Spare no expense on good tire's they are your trucks first line of safety and performance.
