Boy does that suck... I'll eventually get one if I decide to keep the truck as a drag truck.
Right now im thinking im just going to put a bit lower gears and a manifold on it, and call it a daily driver... maybe run street bracket racing with it... and build an altered
I wasn't going to respond to this post but it is so stupid I must say GET A GRIP. One of two things happened, one the 460 was in reverse, or two the driver was asleep. Anyone with any brains knows no 4.0L Explorer will run with any halfway running 460.

I wish I could get ahold of a 4 speed however
i have a top loader, 4spd i might be willing to part with. i would need a T5 from an 89-93 mustang though, as my top loader is planned for use in a 66 mustang.

well like i said didnt sound like he was flooring his engine, but i was. i just like to have a good time. i did go faster than his truck though in the long run
btw if it was stock i wouldve definitly been smoked but i do have borla exhaust and K&N FIPK
No one gave any details of what this 460 is in. If its in a f-350 crewcab long bed dually that weighs 7000 pounds with 35" tires and 3.55's, IMHO I dont see how the 460 could take the 4.0 in a 4000 pound truck with 3.73's and like 29 inch tires.
I hate it when people compare vehicles with out knowing the specs of each vehicle, just because one vehicle has one motor in it and another vehicle has another motor in it donsn't automaticlly mean the 460 is gonna win. Is there a large chance that it should? yes, but never say never.
the exhaust, fipk, and chip may knock up to almost a sec off 0-60. yes its not un beatable buts it cetainly is alot more then stock. I dont remeber seeing a year for the explorer either but the new ones are nothing to mess with, the older ones are a bit doggy or so I hear.
