firing order

What year did they change the firing order on the 302? Is it 85 and on?

It depends on what the motor is in. The 302 HO in cars had the 351 firing order probably around '85 or so, I'm not really sure when Ford introduced the HO. In trucks, I think they changed the firing order on mass air 302's around '94 or '95, maybe on some speed density trucks too, I don't know.

Well, if they send the wrong one, you can always hook up the plug wires in the new order and be good to go.

I am not sure about that, wouldn't the pistons be out of time to the cam?

The bottom end is the same between the two firing orders.

Well some pieces might be different, but the piston positions are the same, so either cam firing order will work. You asked the question, and I answered it, then you tell me that it's wrong. I'm confused.
