Power Steering Pump Replacement (rough cost??)
All,
I am in the final throws of purchasing a 2001 EB. everything is in great shape and I only have a couple thing to check on the final visit.
I had a mechanic look at the vehicle and he lifted it up and we spent 45 minutes going over the truck...the only bad thing was that the power steering pump was a little dirty...or dirtier than you might expect....there are no bad sounds or other indications that it is going bad....
so from a worst case scenario i wanted to check on what the cost might be to replace a power steering pump? (generally parts and labor)...even ballpark figures will work...200? 500? more?
the car has 39500 miles....it will sell with a power train warranty (that would cover the PS) for 3k miles or 3 months
Other than that the other suggestions were to flush the transmission, brakes, radiator and make an oil change.....this will give me a good baseline to keep up with maintenance....
