That's crazy what happned to that guy's truck. What a crappy dealer, I don't get why they acted why they did. Couldn't find the other thread you showed, what forum is it in? -wb
BBB its in the superduty forum, there maybe more to the story but i beleive him, but i think some tempers got out of hand, brand new truck won't start, hmmmm, dealer may have been down this road before, and over reacted,
i thought the same thing, i wonder how it will turn out , if he follows thru. at least we know what dealer it is.still i,m taking it with a grain of salt for now....................
I think someone in the original thread may have hit the nail on the head. If the story told is complete and true, then the dealership would not act that way without a reason. I think ,given the known circumstances, that the dealership screwed up some how, selling him a known lemon, or some other illegal circumstance and are just trying to cover their butt. All things being equal the simplest explanation is usually the correct one!
John North Ford in Emporia KS did one even more stupid then that guy a couple years back. Sold a pickup to a guy who paid for it on the spot and drove it home. Dealership called later that evening and said they had screwed up the price and wanted MORE MONEY. Owner told them they had a deal with all the signed paperwork, not his problem. Next morning the truck was GONE. Reported it stolen and it was found on the dealer's lot. Dealership "repossed" it in the middle on the night. Nobody went to jail and the police eventually called it a "civil matter" and wouldn't arrest anyone for taking the truck.
Thats been almost ten years and I still wouldn't buy anything from them.
