I Just picked up my 2002 F350 4x4 5.4 there are syncro promblem with 6 speed trans mine is being replaced

I have the 6spd in my 99 Psd with no problems, 36k on the truck. Is this a new problem?

Dizzy Arc, I have a 2002 4x4 6 speed with the 7.3 and have had no problems with it other than its tough to find first gear from deep low. Is this a problem with the 5.4 and 6.8 or what?

there not sure! ford rep said they are going to look into see if it's gas only or both.

my 5.4 w/ a 6 sp shifte nicely. it shifts perfectly at 3000 rpm w/ out the clutch to.

6 Speed Trans

I've got a 2002, F-250 4x4 diesel and I've noticed problems with getting into 1st gear and 3rd gear. I've wondered as well if there was a problem with the synchros. I haven't had as much of a problem now that I have 3500 miles on it, but it was worse when it waa new. I thought it was just me as I hadn't driven a 6 sp before.
