Question. I am about to buy a power/manual telescoping passenger mirror for my 99 SD. The tow mirror I have on the passenger side is power, but does not telescope. Will any year mirror 99-up fir my truck from the Excursion/Super DUty line? Thanks!
I believe any tow mirror from 99 and up will fit your truck. the only question is if you really want power or the ability for it to telescope. Otherwise, it is a simple bolt on swap.
I believe the power portion of the FORD OEM towing mirrors pre 2004 is for adjusting the mirror lens itself not the telescoping portion. You still have to pull the mirror manully into the tow position or push it back into the normal position. The also have a heated mirror version. The newer 2004 version have a marker light built into the mirror assembly. not sure if the telescope has been upgraded to power.

As far as I know - yes. I put a set from a 2002 Excursion on my 2000 F350. The connectors were different - the 2000 was a 4 pin round connector and the 2002 had a flat 10 pin connector. It wasn't hard to swap the old plug over.
If you want it to telescope, you need to get a 2000 up mirror. The 2002's fold both directions also, where the 2000 folds only backwards.
Thanks for the insight guys. By the way, I do not want power telescoping, just manual so it should work fine. I only need the mirror to be power. Thanks again.
