My wifes Expy has a strange noise. When you have the truck real quiet (no stereo, A/C off, etc.), when you come to a stop, I hear what sounds like a "motor" running for about 5 seconds, then it stops.
It sounds like the my old LLS pump running, almost exact (but quieter), except, now that I disabled the LLS system it cannot be the LLS pump.
It sounds like it is coming from the passenger kick-well, by the heater box. It is a "gurgling" motor sound, and like I said, It cycles for approx. 5 seconds....then stops for about 20 seconds...then runs...etc.
I sometimes hear a gurgling noise like the one you describe when I have my rear heat on and the truck running, and then either shut the heat off, or come to a stop and shut the truck off. Kind of by the passenger kick well/center console area is where it seems to come from on my truck. It doesn't cycle on my truck, though.
I kind of guessed that it was either air being pushed through the system, or pressure being purged once the system was off.
