Question Missing vehicle code sticker in door jamb

I bought a used 97 Expedition EB Edition which does not have a vehicle code sticker in the door jamb. I suspect that some prior body work may have removed the sticker. Does anyone know how I can recreate that information? Can I access a website and input the VIN to find out if I have LSD or any other vehcile data which would have been listed on that sticker?

This Ford Truck Enthusiasts website is excellent. I have obtained several good tips on fixing problems with my Expy. It is nicee to know I am not alone with some of my Expy problems.

What info are you looking for? The vin will give you some of the info, but not rear-end ratio, trim, paint, etc.

You could try to contact Ford Customer Service and explain the situation. Maybe they could pull up the info that you need. You will need to tell them exactly what information you want, and it will take them a little while to decode it from the VIN.
