Tranmission Problem
My son took it to the snow this weekend and after he put it in 4WD, and took it out, it seemed to stay in 4wd? Since I wasn't there I don't have all the specifics, but it seems to run fine in D or L, but in OD it sounds like it is still engaged and won't go over 35. Also, Reverse doesn't work at all, thinks it's in N. Thoughts?

Sounds like the hubs and /or the t-case hasn't disengagde. I know you said it wont go in reverse, but to disengage the hubs, (If auto), you need to back up about 10 ft. As for the transfer case..there is a small motor on it the engages your transfer case in and out when you hit the button. That is a known problem area. Some ppl have just removed it, cleaned and re-installed then all is good again. Other have had to replace it. I think the replacement costs about $70. As for it thinking its in neutral for reverse....have you tried moving the shifter a little further up to get it to engage? Have you looked underneath? Ummm maybe got up on something under the snow and whacked the tranny or transfer case out of the right position.
