2000 f-150 cd player MP3 compatable?

My 97 has a stock 6 disc changer / stock headunit and it plays my mp3's fine. I think its still in mp3 format? I know the music is downloaded then burned does the mp3 format change once burned to a cd?

It depends on how you burn it.. If you burn it as an audio CD then most cd players will play it. If you burnt it as a data CD with all of them in MP3 format (when you look at it on the computer all the files look like: xxx.mp3) then probably not.
