My actuator WAS broke. (See previous posts on subject) I thought it wasn't because it l didn't know what it was suppose to look like originally. I knew it wasn't working right so today I went to my Ford parts and looked at a new one and realized my was broke off up in the column. It was sort of a relief to finally figure out what was wrong, but I knew then I would have to tear down my column further. Anyway, a lesson learned here about a NEW way to get the tilt spring back in without installing it with the column. I put my column shroud on then put one end of the spring on the pimple it rests in and took a screwdriver and compressed it until it would fit in the other side. First time wonder maybe, but I didn't have to wrestle with holding the column and putting in the pins at the same time. If anyone has any questions about that, just ask I'll explain better. Thanks for all the support in dealing with me on this and whatever I can help out with, let me know.
The ol' truck is back together and it sure feels great!!!!!!!!!!!
