Check Engine Light On

'96 F-150, 4.9L 6 cy. Check engine light on for months. Engine runs quiet and smooth. Gas consumption is normal (13-14mpg) city driving. Last week I had a garage do a computer scan for a diagnosis of my problem. They did not attempt to fix the problem but told me that they pulled the following codes: P0141 o2 bank 1 sensor 2: P0401 insufficient EGR flow. Can comeone tell me if this sounds like valid codes and if so, can you please tell me where these items are located and if a "back yard" Joe can replace them if needed?

insufficiant EGR flow. i have received this code twice on my '95, both times it was a piece of plastic tubing broken. find your EGR valve and trace your tubing back. that might be your problem. this may not be too discriptive, but if you look in the engine bay i think you will see what i mean. all that plastic vaccum tubing seems to be very brittle. do not breathe on it or look at it funny... it will snap. hope this helps you a little.
