I have a 1994 s/ cab 4x4 w/ 302 MPFI ,Just bought it 20 days ago & don't know much about how it was cared for . I bought it for $2,900 ,since the day I got it I noticed when I take off from a complete stop & get on it ,I hear a k k klunk . So I changed the front shocks , sway bar bushings , radious arm bushings ,and thank's to all of your idea's checked tranny support , the pass.side bolt was loose , put shims & lock washers in & tightened the heck out of them. But with no success stil making the same noise ,I jacked both sides up & checked ball joints & tie rod ends ,no problem . The one thing I did notice is that when i put it in high 4 it dies not make the noise no matter how hard I punch it. Also in 2 wheel if I ease into it it makes no noise ,I hate to keep beating this dead horse but does any one have any answers to my problem??? thanks

 

your transfer chain might have slack
