Right after i had new tires put on my truck....My brakes got a little spongy and the ABS light came on...brakes are no longer spongy but ABS light still on...anyone ever had this problem..hoping its not an 800.00 control module..
Rear differential speed sensor, sometimes called VSS (vehicle speed sensor). Located on top of the rear differential. Two bolts, one electrical connector. About 20 bucks and 20 minutes.
Replaced the rear sensor no help...i guess i could go buy one front sensor and check it in either side see if it works...( but they cost 100 bux more than the rear)
Now I am noticing the ABS light flashes 1 time ...it will flash while waiting for the wait to start and one time after it is started...
any input is greatly appreciated..
Strange as it may sound: I bled (with some help) the master cylinder. No more problem. No more ABS light coming on.My theory is that a small air lock in the master cylinder can cause your symptoms.

Was gonna ask did you have any brake work done the same time the tires were put on ?
It sounds like someone broke a line open or something .
It could also be the tire changer, broke the front sensor wire and or the sensor ring on the hub somehow .but dealers have a tool that can read abs brake dtc's stored in memory .This will tell you which sensor or if its the module.
