CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION!!!!!!
Well boys, my truck finally came in. I ordered my truck on Nov.21 '01 and received it on Thursday the 3rd of this month. I feel like a kid in a candy store!!! Just want to thank each and every one of you for answering all my questions with supreme accuracy. I drove back to East Texas Friday morning with only 23 miles on the truck, cruise at 69mph and averaged 14.1mpg (or so the tale tale computer says). Drove it alot the the 4 days I stayed down and began my trip home to Dallas with 580miles on it. On the way home I averaged 15.1mpg!!!! I was shocked. I've read several post where guys who have 10,000miles on their trucks aren't getting that good. Hope my computer isn't screwed up. Anyways, just look forward to conversing with you boys about these bad #$%$&*^ trucks!!!!

Congrats on the new truck.I just picked mine up last saturday and like you I feel like a kid in a candy store. Fortunately for me I am able to fit my SD in the garage(just barely) and since I have an 89 bronco II for the winter slop my new rig can sit warm and salt free in the garage. I live in a ski area and they put acres of salt on the road here. it is the worst thing for any vehicle. My new F250 SD V10 is even better than I expected. I cannot believe how smooth this 6.8 V10 runs and the ride on this truck is quite luxurious. this is my 9TH new Ford Truck that I have owned and it is without a doubt the best one yet. I have not been as fortunate as you on the MPG readings but I dont expect it to be anything special for this monster. Have fun with new truck. Later, 95rcobra.

I wouldn't worry about the gas. I'm seriously thinkin' my computer may be off. My next gas tank should either prove the computer wrong or right because I'm manually figuring it out myself. I'm glad you like your truck. I agree about the V10. I had no idea this powerplant would purrrrrr like a kitten; really. I've just been very impressed. Look forward to discussing different issues with you in the future. ENJOY IT!!
