Air Bag

i pulled the air bag on my 1994 f-150 without removing the battery cable. is it safe to put this back in or is the back-up reserve still charged. i was replacing the clock spring.

fyi... the airbag does have a reserve charge and the battery should be unhooked for a minute or so before removing and remain unhooked until airbag replaced....
