Replaceing Rear window 71 3/4
Hello Room, Im kinda new at the fix up old truck thing.But so far with the help of some real good people It.s been alot of fun.I want to thank (HREED & cowboy Billy) and a few outhers For helping me in outher matters. My Question is this.will the sliding rear window out of a (1974 1/2 ton ranger)-fit My 1971 3/4 ton Ranger)? #2 Will the C-6 Transmission out of same fit in My Truck?apreciate any advice

rear glass is the same, so is the windsheild. tranny will fit with a little work if the engines are the same bolt pattern, i.e.240 thru 351 windsor, 351 m thru 460, or 352 thru 390. you might have to move the crossmember, and get a differant drive shaft. radiator should also work, if same engine family.

Thank's Jimbare. The moter is 360 and the transmission is C6 out Of the 1/2 ton 1974 ranger xlt 2wd. mine is 71 3/4 ton ranger xlt it also has a 360 and a C6.then your saying thay will Bolt up? like I said Im new to The Fixing old fords up but I want to learn so here I am, thank you for your patience

Hey pat, how you do,ing Are You sure about the year's on that window interchangeability? (man that was a mouth full) I mean Im not in anyway doubtingly You but I can't seem to find any infomation in any of the Book's I own. Thank's alot for the help

Look at the size of your rear window, then look at a 73-up truck's. They used the same rear window from 73-96. They are larger than ours.
Ford didn't have a "big" or "small" rear window like GM's did.
