Those are like what i want. Mine is a 4spd though. I dont see why 80s model headers wouldnt fit.. does anybody else see why not?

I tried a couple of different headers when putting my truck together. My clutch linkage hit all the full length headers that I tried. I ended up using shortie headers in the end....it was even tough finding a set of those that would work!!!!!

If you do find a set of long tube headers that work please e-mail me as I gave up my search a while back and would love to know which ones work.

Did you ever try 80s model ones?? Mines a 2wd.. think i would have the same trouble with clutch linkages? Ill probly just put my mainifolds on it for awhile since they are waht the exchaust is made up too..

The other problem with putting headers in is the crossmember between the front cab mounts, 73-79 had them, 80 up didn't. Also, steering box is in different spot than on the later trucks.

I used Hedman headers part #89150 on a 351w in a 77 2wd. I had to dimple one of the tubes to clear the steering box and notch the cab mount crossmember.
