How to Remove Ignition Module

I would like to take my ignition module to AutoZone for a test. How do I remove it? Do I just pull it out?

What year do you have? I have an 87 with a 2.9 On mine you remove two 5.5 mm bolts and pull it off. You should really use a thin walled socked but I have a regular that fits with a little help.

As mentioned you need to remove the 2 recessed screws & then pull straight down on the module. Autozone will sell you the tool for this.
