i don't have one yet... been going abck and forth on whether or not i want to wait for hypertech to come out with their pogrammer for the v10.....
BUT.... i know a couple of guys that run the truspeed and they are happy with it.... fixed speedo/odo and firmed up their shift points (i assume to stock, but they think differently).
i think you can get it for about $180.00. install runs about $100 or you can do it yourself if you have four or so hours.
if you go with one... let me know what you think about it!
well.... hypertech is rumored to have one almost ready with a shelf date in the next month or so..... i have had more than one 4wd shop tell me to wait for it when i asked about computer upgrades (even though then did stock competitor's products.... they felt that from what they had heard was the hypertech was going to be good stuff).
but, hypertech has their lips sealed on this (they won't even claim to have one in testing to the general public). so i am not holding my breath and will buy something else if hypertech doesn't produce one soon.
Not too sure of the value of the add in speedo calibrator when any competent Ford dealer can reset your computer to the new tire specs and bring the speedo back into calibration.
On the other hand if you are of the mind to keep two different sets of tire sizes and change sizes often then the trueSpeed is for you as it will store two sizes.
There is a step by step set of instructions on the Ford-Diesel site in the aftermarket forum, search for speedo cal. These instructions indicate all you need to know for your dealer to cal the speedo is the Revolutions Per Mile of the new tires.
4WheelParts here in Colorao Springs said the Hypertech unit is already on the market? They quoted me a price of $349.99. Let me know if you get one, I've been waiting to get some feed back from someone who has one.

hummm... just called 4 wheel parts 800 number and they said no PPIII for the v10 yet.... can you call your local 4 wheel parts taht told you that and verify please?
4WheelParts here in the Springs said they have sold several to V10 owners. Also in their October/November 4WheelParts magazine on page 21. Hypertech has an Ad, which shows typical performance gains on the V10. 25HP @ 3250 rpm, and 40 ft/lbs. torque @ 3250 rpm. And I double check with the guy this morning, and he said it was the new PPIII model. Good Luck.
