Synthetic oil weights
i was just wondering around here in the summer we get 100+ temps and i can find any synthtic oil above 10-30. is 10-30 synthtic good enough for those temps? also my engine runs about 180.

Yes, a quality synthetic lubricant, 10W30 is perfect for the conditions you've described. This weight of oil, will provide your engine with near maximum cold start pumping, as well as delivering excellent engine peak MPG, as well as protecting the engine at high summer heat temps. With today's modern synthetics, there is no need to use anything thicker than a 10W30, even for towing. The only exception is if you have an engine that is badly worn, piston slapping, blowby glutton with hazy blue oil smoke coming out of the tailpipe...
