i have that gunk motor flush stuff and before i use it i want to make sure its safe. ive heared that it can damage your engine, but i heared that if you use it right it will do its job with no damage. anybody ever tried it?
i used one once in a chebbie 305 it didnt do anything bad to it. later oil changes seemed to have less crap in them. u might try marvel mystery oil for the same purpose
I have tried it and the only bad thing I can say was it cleaned around my valev guides so well that my old LTD now smokes pretty bad. Had I to do it over again I would not use it. Also will cause leaks if sludge is what is keeping you seals from leaking. If it is an old car and has a good bit of sludge I would pull the valvecovers and make sure the oil return holes in the head are clean and leave it alone. Might try some Autorx as it is much milder.

I recommend you run an Auto-RX treatment to recondition the seals. It works wonders for start-up smoke and eaking seals.
