my f-150 has a shudder between 35 and 50 mph not all the time and only when going a steady speed. It's not coming from the front. It happens in overdrive and 3rd. It is a intermitent problem.
Took it to a mechanic today and he didn't know what it was.
He said he lifted it and didn't see anything in the drive line.
All bushings and mounts check out ok. Siad it shifted well and didn't think it was the rear end. The tires only have 500 miles on them and it was happening before that also. Alighnment was also done this week. Has anyone had a similar problem? anyone have any ideas what going on with this?

This is more of a violet shudder and shakes the whole truck is that the same as the convertor shudder I was under the impression that the convertor shudder was real light.
Usually TC shudder is light, kind of like driving on grooved pavement. It usually happens under light acceleration usually in OD, but sometimes in 3rd. It can also be intermittent
If your whole truck were shaking I would think about worn steering and suspension parts. U Joints, tail shaft(Known for problems), EGR(usually a light shudder or stumble). Could be other things like an engine out of tune etc.
