I drive a 96 bronco and I have a chance to acquire a front and rear d60 from a 79' 4wd f250... any ideas? is it worth 600 bucks? would this fit? plz help
The Dana 60 rear SHOULD bolt up, don't quote me on that. The front axle I believe would be more of a challege. The F-250 had a solid front axle that was leafsprung. You would have to convert your bronco to a solid front axle instead of the stock TTB. This is not uncommon though, what you have to do is to get a hold of a pre-1980 Dana 44 front axle set up for coil spring suspension (i.e. 78-79 Bronco, 73-79 4x4 F-150, ect)
On www.projectbronco.com there is a technical article on how to transplant the mounting parts from the Dana 44 onto the Dana 60, then you will be able to put it in underneath your 96 Bronco.
Your U-joints I believe would also have to change as well.
