noisy speedo
Anyone ever had a noisy speedo before? The sound is coming right out of the dash, I know its got something to do with the actual speedo and/or cable because the noise is oscilating and increases frequency with speed and its annoying the living **** out of me. Sounds distinctly like plastic gears. How tough is it to get behind the dash / change the cable / change the gauge (this is for any of you guys that have done the white face gauge deal, which im considering if i have to pull it all apart anyway)?? Further more, is my 89 Eddie Bauer Bronco (302/AOD) driven by a cable or is it an electronic sender (conflicting reports), and if it is a cable, which im pretty sure it is, how hard it it to replace that?? If its the gauge itself, where in the world do you find one of those!?!? Bone yards around here have this issue of getting an 89-92 pickup/bronco in, and within a day its nothing but a shell. Any thoughts would be great.
