I just got them mounted up today, A set of 31x10.50R 15 OTR mud terrains with green diamonds. Price was $270 shipped to my door for 4 of them, plus another $50 for the green diamonds. What are the green diamonds you ask? They are small granuals of carbide stone mixed into the rubber, so you get all the traction of studs, without any of the side effects. The tires were all made on matching BFG A/T carcasses, and were in excellent shape.
Tire height seems to be larger than most, Unmounted they are about 30.2" tall, and a little over 8" wide at the treads. Mounted they are almost a full 31" tall, on the truck, at 35PSI. tread depth is about 18/32" of a inch.
traction, my first impression is they are awsome in the snow, the green diamonds hook great, probably as well as my roomates blizzaks. Ice they are easily ten times better than my old baja widetracks.
Ride and handling, just as well as any other 31" radial tire I have drove(alot) They ride extremely smooth for a mud tire.
Noise, at about 35-45mph, they sing a little, after 45 it's gone though. They aren't quite as quiet as my BFG MT's, but not nearly as loud as my super swampers were.
Balancing, All 4 tires balanced up great, the best tire was only 1.5oz off, the worst took 5.5oz. Hi-tec garantees they will take less than 6oz.
