Where have all the solid billet grills gone?

I have been trying to locate a new grill for my 2001 F-250SD but can only find the billet insert type of grill, were you cut up your existing plastic grill and insert the billet plate in it or just put it over the grill.

I know they have grill replacments were you get a solid metal grill(with billets) to replace the original OEM grill. But after surching I have come up with nothing.

I've never heard of one for the Super Duty trucks. If you find one, let us know.

Where have all the solid billet grills gone?

After about two days searching on the net I found two.

Both come with a shell(what I wanted), so you can just replace the entire grill. One is by Stull(aztrucks.com), the other is by MerTek(4customrides.com).

$330,$460.

The Stull one is fiberglass, not what I wanted, I'm afraid it does not come with a chrome finish on the shell itself(so you can paint it a matching color). The MerTek one, I have no idea about, as there is no information on that company anywere on the net or on usenet.

Ah yes... I didn't mention the Stull because you said you wanted "all metal". Basically, they've taken a factory grille and done the installation for you.

I've never heard of the other company.

Where have all the solid billet grills gone?

Anyone have any experience with the Trenz Billit Grill?

My wife bought me one for my Birthday......not sure if I have to chop up my grill or not.

I'm still waiting on delivery, but I guess I can prepare myself for it now!
