Tow hooks

Where would be the best place to put took hooks on a 96 Bronco? Anywhere they can bolt up? What about in the rear?

I was wondering the about the same thing for my '92. I need some tow hooks on the front, but I had heard that with the crumple zones on the front of the frame, if you put tow hooks there, you could stretch the frame when getting pulled, is that true?

mount the hooks back behind the crumple zones, and if u'd do it up front it might not matter unless u have a lead foot when pullin someone out

You could cut the crumple zones out and weld in new steel too take the place.
Just a thought, sounds like fun too me.

speaking of crumple zones, I hit a honda in Jan and I think my front is slightly crumpled. It's hard to notice but it's a if the whole grill is in 1\2 inch or something, the hood seems to be a 1\4 longer than before. Can it be stretched back by a qualified shop? Decimated the honda n case you were wondering, still a shame though, prefer no accidents.

Crumple zone started in 92 i think? I something once were they drilled the holes for hooks in the middle of the crumple zone... don't see what harm ther is there. as for the back it is hard to get to the frame with the step bumper there, i took mine off for more clearance so i just used the holes from that works great for pulling ch#$ys out of whereever they are stuck.
