Stereo for 250
Hi -
I'm new to this part of FTE and I have a question.
I'm looking for a decent stereo/CD player for my 250. I want it to have multi-cd capability and have some sort of remote that mounts to the steering wheel.
Also, what sort of speaker setup do you recommend?
I'm not looking to win any competitions, just some good quality sound.

Hello James
Most Any of the major "brand name" head units you look at
will control a cd changer of the same brand.Its easy to add on
afterwards- the cd changer has a data cable that just connects
behind your head unit
as for remotes--I know some of the pioneers have a neat little steering wheel remote that come with them. but you would have to check some of the other brands- I not sure which have em-
Im not sure which truck you have--but it will likely have 6x8 speaker in it--a good set of aftermarket replacements is what you looking for
you will have to shop around the different brands--and see which you like

Hi. It sounds like you should do yourself a favor and visit a few local car audio shops. They will have the products and information you need. Listening to different brans of speakers will help you decide which is best for YOU. On the CD player, look for one with the features you want.
As far as a steering wheel remote, I have seen the Pioneer model. I can only assume other brans carry something similar.

If you check out the post 2002 crew cab subs help!! and look at the pics this should give you some good ideas! I have a 2002 CC SD and put a couple of 10s behind the seat and rockford 5x7s in the doors and it sounds great!
