Im gonna upgrade to 4-barrel but im trying to find out what the best one is for my 66 352. holley sells a nice 670 cfm truck avenger, also is 670 cfm carb enough for a 352?
I understand the Truck Avenger is designed for off-road trucks that see steep grades, hig altitude etc. A 600 is plenty and I see no need for the truck Avenger (read, save $$) unless you plan on doing some off-roading.
well it think i might need a little more than 600 maybe around 620 or so, anyway i dont plan to off-road its just a 2wd. how much money can i save? i guess thats kinda lazy i should just go there website!
Formula is as follows:cfm needed=cid/2Xmax rpm/1728, this assumes 100% volumetric efficiency. You should multiply by 75% for non modified engines;85% for high performance engines; 95% for a fully modified race engine. BE HONEST- most people use too big of a carb!!!
