Ive been trying to find some emissions legal headers for my truck for a long time now and I know that no one makes them for my truck/engine combo. Ive got a 79 f150 with a 351 in it and for some reason parts suppliers dont like that combo and dont make anything for my truck. Anyways, I have however found emissions legal headers for a 1980 F150 with a 351/400 engine. From what Ive read, it doesnt sound like theres really that major of a difference between the two trucks, mostly cosmetic. Am I wrong? So, would those fit, or would maybe an F250's fit from 1980? I dont mind if its gonna take some work to make em work or how much it would cost, just nothing really major. Oh ya, its a 4x4 if that helps at all. Thanks!!!!
Eric, I LOVE YOU MAN!!!! According to the hedman site, #89210 is 50 state legal for my year!!! Ive been looking for like over a year for emissions legal ones for here in Ca. ! Im suprised I never found those ones, I know Ive checked hedmans site before. Alright, just one more small question, any recomendations on where to get some from? Also, I would love to get some fenderwell exit ones, the dynomax ones, but I havent been able to find anywhere that says they have those, not even the Dynomax site, do you know where they are? Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!
If that number does not work try a Google search for contact information.
The old number I have for Dynomax is 1-800-767-DYNO. DynoMax is a division of Walker Manufacturing (Walker mufflers etc). They may not list those numbers but they may have them in the warehouse. If they don't have them COMPLAIN!
Check out the links in my FTE web page. There is a link there in the list to a site with all kinds of automotive tech numbers.
