Question Help

I have a 97 F150 with a 4.6 in it. 3 days ago the check eng. light started blinking then stayed on. The truck eng. is bumping when stop. As I go down the road it seems to bump or sputter as I speed up. It I floor it the eng. runs fine. At speed on the Hwy the eng. again seem to sputter and bump. If I let up on the gas a little the eng. runs fine for the moment. The check eng. light comes on and off while driving. I do not belive the truck is missing. When I start the truck in the morning ( avg temp now 15deg.) the eng seem to run fine. I thing that the problem is somewhere in the fuel air mix. Any ideas????

Welcome to the Forum!

I recomend that you take your truck down to the nearest Autozone, Checkers, etc, and they often will scan your codes for free.

Once you get that code, post it, and we will be able to help you out better...
