Ok a while back i was gonna put a accel super stock coil in my truck, some of you may remember, but now i was goigng to put an compleate msd ignition in, i was going to do the MSD-5 nothing too fancy but i was wondering what people thought and if anyone had done it before, i also plan on pairing it with a MSD blaster 2 coil, the special one for duraspark wich is on order . so im wondering what people think and can tell me from experiances with an msd ignition. thanks

You can do a "Search" for MSD and get many varied responses. I have the MSD coil and a MSD 6 box. I personally like it, and am glad I have it. I have noticed a difference with it connected and w/o it connected. A lot of ppl say they can't tell the difference. I guess you'll find that it's all up to each individual car. It's not a matter of HP or Torque difference, but just a matter of idle quality and firing smoothness.
I'm all for MSD. I eventually plan to get the MSD distributor.
Good luck,
I can't honestly say that the MSD-6 increased my fuel mileage, as I've done many mods and some of them all at once. Some ppl say yes, some say no. I have gotten better mileage as a result of ALL my mods, but to single out the MSD... ya just can't.
While I have been running the stock system on my Ford, I am running a complete MSD 6AL on a hipo Chevy. I notice a more smoother idle quality. Believe the MSD puts out multible sparks at lower rpm only and not at the upper revs. Gas milage is not an issue for me on this engine. I did want the rev limiter feature, hense the 6AL. MSD did recommend that I run a dedicated hvy gauge wire directly to the battery for power instead of picking up power elsewhere. Overall a quality product and has proven trouble free for some 3 years now. Charles
I have quite a few mods, but im trying to smooth out my idle a little bit its not real rough at all just once in a while, and i want better milage, i dont get good milage so im trying to boost it as much as possible.
