My guess would be the mystery box/pump was a hydraulic control for a snow plow. Setup something like this: http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gall...35&albumid=828 Probably had a dump box for hauling salt hence the box is gone. You might find a couple holes in the cab floor where the control levers were mounted.

dmptrkr you may be right. There is a PTO on the tranny and a hole in the floor board where it appears there should be a shift lever for the PTO. This may answer many questions I have about my truck's past. Always nice to know what it's life was before.

59 F-350

I have a '59 F-350 with a long bed, but the rear fenders have a fairly primitive looking flare for the dual wheels. The flare could be home made. I have never seen another like it. jbbmw
