chip help?

chip help?

So the guy i bought my truck from says he installed a chip, and im not sure i trust him, what is the easiest way to go about checking to see if i have one. I have know idea where they are located. hopefully there has been a post earlier about this that someone could give me the link to thanks for your time

Unless its a programmer is located behind your emegency brake under the plastic kick panel. It will be pluged into a computer modual.

you have to uninstall the ecu(the trucks computer) and check it to see if it is there. go to www.westerndiesel.com and search for the chip install directions and that will tell you how to get at it( it is behind the e-brake on the drivers side but there is a little bit of work you need to do to get at it)
