I own a 2003 F350 and in the process of installing air horns. I want to access the back of the panel to wire the horn and wire the air compressor to a non-used fuse location. Anyone know how to remove the panel? It looks like you can do it by unsnaping instead of removing the bolts but I can't seem to unsnap and I certainly don't want to stick a screw driver too far back there!
I did not find info by doing a search... thanks for any help...

By using the existing fuse panel, you will be using the factory main power wire that feeds the fuse panel, for your electrical extras. This wire is barely big enough for the job it has to do now.
A better, easier idea would be to create your own aux fuse box out on the inner fender. If you plan on only adding the horn system, then one fuse or circuit breaker would be enough. But if you plan on adding lights, electric fan, audio amp, etc., then you would be ahead to put a small aux fuse panel out on the fender. The spot to feed the new panel comes from the starter relay post where the battery positive is connected. Use a fairly heavy guage wire to feed the new panel. This will give you plenty of power capacity and a more convenient place to hook aux equipment.
Well, I can not get to the stock horns which are located inside the pax sheet metal and the inside metal wall to hack into the horn wiring. I want to be able to honk both stock and air horns when I use the stock horn button. I already have my wiring to the fuse box and I do not plan to add anymore power items. My owners manual shows 12 "not used" but powered fuse holders with various size fuses in them and several non-wired fuse holders that are just empty slots. If I were to add more stuff, I'd go the route you are suggesting. Thanks for the input however.
