I am looking for some front springs from a '99-'02 F350 4X4 with the diesel, perhaps from some of you that have lifted your truck and replaced yours. Thanks
um, oops. I "de-stickered" my truck for that nice clean look...
It's the standard F-250 diesel, no snowplow pkg or extra GVWR pkg, 142" WB Supercab, if that helps. They were removed pretty much brand new (about 200 miles on the odometer).
LW555, yes your springs would be too light, but thanks. monsta, I would like some V or X springs. I have a 2001 Excursion LTD 4X4 PSD. I would like to lift the front close to 3" and the rear 1". For the right price, I would be interested in lighter springs that I could have re-arched, but they would probably need to be close to the V's to start with. I can't afford the down time of taking my springs off and having them re-arched.

There is a high probability that his are actually "heavier" than yours. The DO have more arch than our Excursion springs.

Looks the "X" spring is the way to go. It is projected that it will give you a 2.6" lift.

Your springs on your PSD X is a "D" 4700# spring. The "V" is 5200# spring but with 1" more arch. Although, it has been said that the uprated springs give more ride compliance (coupled with quality shocks) Your springs, that are already lighter than the "V"'s, could be re-arched and, with good shocks, give you a good ride.

But you can afford the time to remove them and replace them? I have 5 spring shops in my area that could remove, re-arch and replace in two to three hours.
I only suggested it only to save you some dough and the hassle of locating new springs. I don't think that the springs Ford puts on the X are weak, they just don't have enough arch.
I posted the spring codes in the Excursion forum.

Thanks for the info on re-arching, monsta. I didn't realize re-arching springs was such a quick job. I figured if I had replacement springs all ready to drop in that the R&R would be quick, but that the actual re-arching process would be time consuming. I am still going to look for the higher lift springs, but at least now I have another option. Tim
Re-arching your springs will definately work, but only on a short term basis. I'd give them 6-8 months max before they've sagged back to their original shape or worse. I used to have to do the front leaf springs on my '89 F250 HD about that often to keep the front end sitting up nice and proud.
As a side note, and I don't think it applies to the new SD's with a solid front axle, but on the old twin I beam, re-arching or changing front springs causes major wheel alignment problems (camber I believe) and will require a wheel alignment and likely the replacement of the bushings (can't remember what these things are called exactly) that are used to adjust camber.

i got the strock front and rear springs off my 02 superduty v10. i have the camper towing package and the heavy service front springs
