I have a 1998 f150 standard trans. Had the slave cylinder changed with all the corresponting parts. Cost $600, Now 3
months later it's leaking again. Mechanic said fords are now for
this, but i'm not buying that. Any idea's on what might be
happening. Thanks John
Did you use a genuine Ford slave cylinder? The newest ones seem to be a lot better than what they had a few years ago. We dont see nearly as many leaks as we used to. I cant actually remember the last time I replaced the slave cylinder in a newer truck.
You may have just got a bad one. Hopefully it still has warranty on it.
well i got my truck back today. had to replace defective slave cyl.
they used original parts, the garage was great i expected to pay
something but there was no charge. I guess if you find a good
garage stick wityh them. thanks for your help John
