Shift Linkage

I had recently had a small clip brake from my linkage between the throttle and the gas pedal link. I need to find a replacement. ????

I know I probably have a bunch laying around somewhere. Spring metal thing that hooks back onto rod to hold it onto linkage.

I doubt that the local parts store will have them, but maybe worth a look. They have not been used in many years.

I looked thru a resto book, and no such animals are offered.

If you can not get one, I'll be glad to send you some.

Parts stores still have them. I got some awhile back at o'rielly's.
I had to buy an assortment in a bag. Imported , not as good as the factory ones.

The part that im looking for is not a spring. Its like a clip that goes from the gas pedal link and be fore the throttle linkage so its in between.

Is it part of that cluster of linkage that mounts to the manifold and reverses the direction of pull to push? Pretty typical that they wear out and get sloppy. Your might have actually broke.

Just remove it all and make a straight linkage from pedal arm to carb. I've done that, like many others.
