The orange hose that connects directly to the turbo needs replacement on my 94 powerstroke. The ford dealer wants $155 for a replacement kit ? any suggestions?
ps. great forum I appriciate all the good advise thank you!
I checked with NAPA they do not carry this hose. I also tried International they only have it if there is an International number stamped on it which it doesn't. in fact there are no numbers on it. thanks.
Schmeder --- take the hose off and go to the truck dealers with it in hand and dont tell them what it comes off of. I am assuming you are talking about the hoses that connect the turbo to the aluminum tubing or to the intake. It dont have to say ford on it. But international should have one to fit even if they have to give ya one a little longer. Let us know how ya make out. Good luck
Tried the International shop today they couldn't find a number but took the hose back to try a match. They couldn't find one and said it must be a ford part. The ford dealer found part number f7tz-9c681-AA FOR $111.42 which I think is still a bit spendy. As for Turbo Hose they are working on something but haven't come up with anything yet . Any and all suggestions are appricated. thanks
Schmeder, I just priced one at my local Ford dealer for my 1995
PSD and it was 90.00 they stated they have upgraded the kit and
has few different parts now. I'll be watching to see if Turbo Hoses
come up with anything.
Iv'e called all the hose companys in town they don't carry "jump sizes" I guess 3" to 3 1/4" is a jump . Turbo hoses have not come up with anything either. Any one else have a source? thank you.
Looks like from your profile your located in Oklahoma. So, I would recommend you try TruckPro. They carry mostly heavy truck parts but they also have some parts for SuperDuties. Even if they dont have the specific part number they should be able to match it up. There are locations in Enid, OK city, and Tulsa. Hope this helps
Just for info, the "kit" includes a new plastic tube [ connects to valve cover breather ], assorted nuts, bolts, clamps, the desired new turbo intake hose, and a handsomely printed instruction sheet. Oh, and a box.
Any one else have an idea on where to come up with a hose for the turbo on a 94 powerstroke. It is 3"on one end and 3 1/4" on the other with a slight bend on the 3" end. (about 30 degrees)overall 7" long. thanks.

I looked at mine today and it needs to be replaced. I have been checking around with no luck either. If Ford has replaced it with a new kit with the black hose, what has happened to all the NOS stuff. Some one has them you would think. Unless they are sitting on them till they can get 150.00 for each I found two orange hoses on e-bay but they are for the newer trucks I think(99.5 up) they are shorter with out the bend. I'll keep looking.

Ace Hardware. Rubber sewer pipe connectors. Built a Tymar like intake for my buddy and used sections of the rubber sewer pipe for the connections. Also just incase you were wondering, I used 4" aluminum irrigation pipe for the for the solid piece. Also the rubber sewer pipe connections don't collapse under hard throttle. At least not with a new filter. I just tried to use as little rubber as possible to avoid collapse. Hope that helps.
