This is a great place for information. I just bought a 2004 Black Lariat Screw. I got it for invoice! I looked at the sales manager right in his face and told him I wanted it for invoice. He tried to tell that the dealer need to make some money. I stood my ground and after talking to the powers that be he said ok. I wouldn't have been able to get this great deal without this forum and the insight from MarkII. With his help I have become more car buying savy. Thanks again. Now I have to figure out what to get next for my truck, maybe tonneau cover.

I'd like to add my endorsement (appreciation) to 1956MarkII and to all of the other good folks who really make this a GREAT site.
You did a good job in taking what you learned and applying it. Some will read and try to practice the preaching, but will fail to follow through. Congratulations on the new truck!
Thanks again to all who contribute to enhancing our knowledge.
You're all most welcome- I'm just glad I could be of help.
I've been trying to find a way to explain why I do this, why it's important to me, and how I feel when I read these compliments. Unfortunately, I have yet to find the right words, but let me try. Some people are only concerned about the monetary apsects of their actions, and if it also happens to help other people or provide a source of satisfaction in a secondary role, well that's OK. I look at it from the opposite view: we do what we do in life for very specific, very important reasons, and if THAT then leads to personal monetary gain for me, well that's OK, too. That still sounds rather clumsy to me, but I hope you catch my drift. I'm also one of those fools that's never been afraid to wear my heart on my sleeve. Probably not the SMARTEST thing to do on a Ford Truck site, but as I've said before-- that's me, warts and all.
LOL!! I think I'm beginning to know how Robin Hood and Zorro must have felt!

Saving some money is good. But what you provide is knowledge and knowledge is power. The power to make intelligent decisions based on facts not fiction (sales talk) lol. A perceived great deal will always bring a customer back. If I lived in the Northeast I would definitely buy from your dealership.
I may as well add my thanks too. I've learned quite a bit from this forum and even more from Jeff. I won't say what's he's specifically done/doing for me, but trust me...I don't think many other salespeople in the world would do it. I definitely appreciate the help! Thanks a million.
All I can say is, if you're within a reasonable driving distance of Rochester, NY and you're looking to buy a car/truck...call Jeff. You won't be disappointed.

Drat! It sure didn't take long for that secret to get out!
Wait till you all find out about my other "ace in the hole:" You all didn't think that those fantastic prices included everything, did you? Like the IGNITION KEY? Hmmm, I wonder how much I can get for one of those..................
We all talk money here but sometimes there are other factors. I'm getting the X plan and I am happy to get it as I planned a year in advance for it. I will not try to find another dealer that will go below X- plan. The service manager at my little dealership sells cars after 5 pm. When ever I have a problem he takes special care of me because I am one of his customers. When I get a loaner i don't fill out papers and when I want a test drive he tells me to bring it back by 7 when they close. When I get my 150 next month I will give him a gift certificate to a local restaurant. It's not all about money , it's about real people. Jeff I salute you for your understanding of things real.
I just re-read my post and god, do I sound like a sap. It sounded like I was putting myself up for sainthood or something like that. I'm certainly no saint, but I do have strong feelings about HOW one runs their business and how they earn their money, that's all. That and the satisfaction I get from FTE goes beyond money.
And sir, I salute you for taking care of that small dealer of yours. Unfortunately, they are a dying breed, and they are the ones that built this industry. That's exactly the kind of dealer that I encourage people to find and buy from. Yeah, you could shop around and get a lower price. But how do you compare the small amount of money you save upfront with the hassles and aggravations that you've saved yourself over the next several years? I guess as we get older we have a greater appreciation for those things that make our life less stressful, and aren't afraid to pay just a little bit more for them. Okay, end of sermon.
