Ah-h-h, Carlene, strangeness upon strangeness, wave on wave, life washes over you invisible but apparent, seen only by inanimate things whose workings fail in its presence. What powers have you that terrible things perish at your touch?
I had a year and a half where I couldn't go thru a metal detector. Would set it off, an Embassy had me strip and I put on a hospital gown, and I still set it off. They told me to go to a Dr. and get checked for excessive iron retention, which could be fatal. Test came back normal. The anomaly finally went away. but it really had an effect on my work access.

I can't wear wristwatches either, they corrode and eat my skin off. But that's because I have my hands in chemicals all day...;-P
Seriously, I have what my husband calls a shocking personality! I can't touch anything metal without getting zapped - the stove, the truck, anything. And I'm always shocking other people too. I kissed my husband once and we both got burns on our lips. (Now I ground myself first!) Wonder if those static bracelets that computer guys wear would help?
My theory is it happened when I was a teen and was talking on the phone during a thunderstorm (Stupid I know.) Something got hit by lightning and the phone got fried in my hand, and my alarm clock started running backward. I don't have any other explanation so that one works for me I guess.

Other Bower, was the phone hungry? Maybe it smelled your hand cooking and wanted to go back four seconds?
Seriously, does your teeth start to feel funny when a thunderstorm approaches? My great-grandmother's would and she was struck by lightning once. She would always come get us during the thunderstorm season (spring) and make go inside - even when there was scarcely a cloud in the sky. Soon BOOM there it would be, right on top of us. Strange, huh?

Evidently you have serious issues with computers???
I appreciate the welcome.
Yes, I do have "issues" with computers. You see, As a young child I was attacked by a Texas Instrument B.S. 2X and it left me with the unending urge to lie about it. (oops! busted)
I'll admit 'feeling' the TV being on or off while the sound is out. Actually, I sleep with the TV on, but the sound muted, it's somehow comforting to me.
Anyone ever notice how streetlights go out when you drive past them? I always thought it was just pure chance, but now I'm having second thoughts.
I also get weird tingling sensations in my molars that have fillings in them when an electrical storm is near.

I can always feel a thunderstorm coming. I usually know when it's just going to rain, but when a boomer is on the way the "body electric" kicks in. But I was the kind of kid that stood outside in a storm, on a concrete driveway, under a tree, leaning on a chain link fence, to watch the lightning.
And I wondered why my mother used to drink so much...
On edit: about the streetlights. That happens to me all the time. Someone told me they're light-sensitive and will shut off if a headlight or a bright reflection hits the sensor. One theory.

Yep, We used to do that to our yard light. We'd shine a spot light on it for a couple seconds and it would turn off. They are all light sensitive as far as I know.
About thunderstorms...when the humidity and temp are right I will "feel" a thunderstorm coming in either my teeth or right knee.
