I was wondering if anyone knew if the front coil springs are the same between 4x2's and 4x4's on TTB axles, and if the springs are the same between 1980 and 1985.
I'm wondering since I swapped the 4x4 axle under my truck using the 1980 4x4 coils the nose has become A LOT stiffer. With the '85 4x2 coils I could jump on the bumper and get it to bounce. Now it barely moves. Could it just be the '85 coils were more worn out than the '80's?
My first truck was an 83 F-100 2wd, I put 4x4 coils on the front, to fit 33's, rode a little stiffer, and screwed my alignment up, but I traded it before the tires wore out.
