Gear/Tire question
Hey guys...when my tires wear out I want to go with some 35's...
Right now I have 265/70 17..they measure about 31" high. I would like to know what gear ratio I would need to have to make up for the size of the tire.
...huh what did I just say..
I have 3:73 now and I want to keep the same crawl speed and power...
If that makes any sense whatsoever please help..

IMO....I have always thought 4.10's are waste! I jumped from 3.55 to 4.10 in my truck (they were free) and I was running 31's and now running 39.5's. I can't really tell a differnce. Go with 4.56's you will be much happier I promise!

Basic Formula:
(New Tire Dia/Old Tire Dia) x Old Axle Ratio = New Axle Ratio

everybody...yes I have a 03 f-150, 5.4 auto w/overdrive...fx4
I don't want a climbing monster, well, I do, but my wife drives it a lot too, so it has to remain family friendly.....She won't hardly drive her Civic ricer anymore...I wonder why..heh heh
