sorry for asking so many dang questions but i like your guys advice. I have a 99 f-150 reg cab 4.2. On their is a Flowmaster 40 series with stock tail pipes. ANd a Mac intake. I get about 16 mpg if i drive really nice. Its pretty poerful but i think it could be beter. It has 110,000 miles on it and i dont think the plugs and wires have been changed. Will this help me to change them. And what kind should i get.
thanks
I always use Motorcraft plugs in all my Fords. They are the best. Wires I have had mixed results. The original wires on my trucks were great and lasted over 100k miles. I bought some Motorcraft wires for my Bronco II and they didn't last 30K. But bought some so so Bosch from Autozone and they have been great. I guess there is a little trial and error, but the plugs are a no brain'r. IMO
Only problem is that they don't make specific kits because they are made for racing. So you have to cut and install the boots yourself. Takes about an hour for install and will most likely last a lifetime.
Moooooooootooooooorcraft....all the way. I learned the hard way with bosch...lost about 2 mpg. check out some of the other spark plug post here...they helped me alot. good luck
Don't you have anything better to do than to clutter this site with your ridiculous annoying remarks? Why don't you go waste someone elses time on another site and leave this site to mature adults who have something to contribute.
Hmmmm,is this the post of a mature adult? More like annoying clutter by a teenager who needs to be wasting someones time on another website! BTW,Busa, things were just fine before you came along; oh,and if you're ever in the Seffner area(thats 9 miles east of Tampa) look me up!
I don't know the history.
I don't care the history.
I honestly expect better from both of you.
I've seen many post by both of you and I'm a little suprised by this.
